Harriet was born in October 1840 in Bollington and her baptism took place on November 8th, 1840 in Prestbury.1 2  Harriet's father was Joseph Hallowell and her mother was Alice Edowes. She had three brothers and a sister, named Joseph, William, Elizah and Mary.  She was the oldest of the five children.  She died at the age of 3 in February 1844 in Bollington.  She was buried on February 25th, 1844.2 1
