When Hannah (25) marries James Edward Thorndike (age 42) from Massachetuas on 10 Oct 1883 in Toxteth, Liverpool, she describes her father John as a Merchant, not a Cigar Maker.
After Hannah was married, she lived in England for about 7 years (where Mary, Robert and Franklyn were born) before emigrating about 1891 (before the April UK census) to Bayonne, Hudson, NJ, USA.
