Emily Hale

Emily was born in 1853 in Liverpool.¹

Emily's father was <Unknown> and her mother was Louisa Smith. Her paternal grandparents were John Hale and Alice Malloy. She had two brothers and five sisters, named Robert, Frederick, Sarah, Margaret, Charlotte, Annie and Mary. She was the third oldest of the eight children. She died at the age of 62 in June 1915 in Birkenhead.²

- Also refered to as Emily Goodwin Hales by K Brown. Possibly Emily Jane Hales, the daughter of John Hale (b.1794) a cabinet maker, and Mary (b.1817) from Linconshire, on the 1861 census, but more likely the daughter of John Hale (b.1829), a cigar maker and Louisa (b.1830), living in Huddersfield in 1861, but both born in Liverpool.
