Also refered to as Emily Goodwin Hales by K Brown. Possibly Emily Jane Hales, the daughter of John Hale (b.1794) a cabinet maker, and Mary (b.1817) from Linconshire, on the 1861 census, but more likely the daughter of John Hale (b.1829), a cigar maker and Louisa (b.1830), living in Huddersfield in 1861, but both born in Liverpool.
Emily and John were married in a religious ceremony on October 6th, 1872 in Tranmere.3
