Edward's father was David Hale and his mother was Mary Millman. He had four brothers and two sisters, named David, John, George, Thomas, Mary and Hephybah.  He was the youngest of the seven children.  He died at the age of 1 on September 12th, 1858 in Bebington.  He was buried in September 1858 at the Bebington Cemetery.^2 1
