Christopher was born in June 1603 in Guiseley and his baptism took place there on June 19th, 1603.1  Christopher's father was William Grimshaw and his mother was Sibbell Marshall. He had two brothers and a sister, named John, Benjamin and Mercy.  He was the second oldest of the four children.
