William Gregory

William was born in May 1782 in Westhoughton and his baptism took place there on May 5th, 1782.¹   William's father was William Gregory and his mother was Beatrice (Batrix) Mather.  His maternal grandparents were Thomas Mather and Mary Mather. He had a brother named Robert.  He was the younger of the two known children.  He died at the age of 3 in November 1785 in Westhoughton.  He was buried on November 14th, 1785 at St. Bartholomew (Westhoughton).²
