Aaron was born in 1835 in Harwood.1  Aaron's father was Thomas Greenhalgh and his mother was Susannah Greenhalgh.  His paternal grandparents were Richard Greenhalgh and Ann Horrocks. He had a brother named John.  He was the older of the two children.
