Jane was born in 1605 in Beeston and her baptism took place on July 21st, 1605 at St. Boniface (Bunbury).1  Jane's father was Hugh Gardener and her mother was Jane Whitlowe. She had a brother and two sisters, named John, Elizabeth and Anne.  She was the second oldest of the four children.
