Edward was born in 1602 in Cheshire and his baptism took place there on April 26th, 1602.1  Edward's father was Sir Edward Fyton and his mother was Dame Anne Fyton. He had a brother and three sisters, named Roger, Anne, Ales and Jane.  He was the second oldest of the five known children.
