Only John is recorded as the son of Ralph and Nancy Entwistle of Turton.
John Entwisle (not John Entwistle), a tailor was named as the father of Edward Entwisle when his son was destitute in New York in 1910.
8 Mar 1835, Rachel Rawsthorn was a widow when she married John Entwistle, a tailor at St Mary's Dean. Her brother Robert Mather was witness.
In Q4 1837, John Entwistle may have died, aged 27. He was missing in 1841, and there were no more children baptised after Edward.
About 1950, (possibably John and Rachel Entwistle and) their son Edward emigrated to New York, USA.
