Fanny was born in 1827 in Chester and her baptism took place on August 15th, 1827 at St. John (Chester).1  Fanny's father was Charles Eddowes and her mother was Frances Toose. She had a brother and two sisters, named Charles, Frances and Elizabeth.  She was the second oldest of the four known children.
