Richard was born on February 17th, 1832 in Blackburn and his baptism took place on February 29th, 1832 at St. Paul (Blackburn).1  Richard's father was John Draine and his mother was Betty Stott.  His paternal grandparents were John Draine and <unknown>. He had two brothers and three sisters, named Samuel, Robert, Alice, Elizabeth and Mary. He had an adopted sister named Sarah. He had a half-sister named Sarah.  He died at the age of 52 in December 1884 in Blackburn.2 



Richard's family with Jane Fielding

‌Richard and Jane were married in a religious ceremony on September 28th, 1850 at St. Mary-the-Virgin (Blackburn).3   They had a son named Robert.  The family line is yet to be completed.
