Mary was born on February 8th, 1840 in Blackburn and her baptism took place on April 26th, 1840 at St. Paul (Blackburn).1 2  Mary's father was John Draine and her mother was Betty Stott.  Her paternal grandparents were John Draine and <unknown>. She had three brothers and two sisters, named Samuel, Richard, Robert, Alice and Elizabeth. She had an adopted sister named Sarah. She had a half-sister named Sarah.  She died at 4 months old in June 1840 in Blackburn.  She was buried on June 10th, 1840 in Blackburn.3
