Rebekah was born in November 1805 in Farndon and her baptism took place on November 3rd, 1805 at St. Chad (Farndon).1  Rebekah's father was Randle Hopley and her mother was Anne Povey.  Her paternal grandparents were William John Dod-Hopley and Hannah Hopley. She had a sister named Christian.  She was the older of the two children.  She died at the age of 33 in 1838 in Handley.  She was buried on September 29th, 1838 in Malpas.2
