Betty Dittmer, an old friend of my mothers, is my 3rd cousin. Betty was good friends with Elsie and Harry Dittmer of Devonshire Road (my grandparents).
Was known as Betty in her youth. Mary Newman was her mother, who came from County Meath in 1914 to go into service in a 'big house' in Liverpool They lived in Knotty Ash most of her life.
Family emigrated to NZ in 1966, possibly first living in Victoria, Australia

Betty lived in Guernsey for eleven years from about 1955 to 1966.1

My mum thought they emigrated to Australia with husband, but it was Gurnsey in the 1950's and then to NZ in 1966.
She lived in New Zealand from 1966.1
