Anno's father was Dr Leopold Friedrich Dittmer and his mother was Charlotte Wilhelmine Emilie Titel. He had two brothers and two sisters, named Guido, Hugo, Cecillia and Clotilde. He was the fourth oldest of the five children. He died about 1909 in Berlin.¹
