Eliza was born in June 1854 in Stalybridge.1  Eliza's father was John Buckley and her mother was Sarah Taylor.  Her paternal grandparents were George Buckley and Sarah (Sally) Andrews. She had two brothers named Hugh and William.  She was the oldest of the three known children.
