Henry was born on January 20th, 1830 in Kirkheaton and his baptism took place there on December 27th, 1830.1  Henry's father was Samuel Brook and his mother was Sarah Heaton. He had three brothers and two sisters, named John, William, Samuel, Emma and Mary.  He was the youngest of the six known children.  He died at the age of 68 on May 5th, 1898 in Nebraska.2
