Sarah was born in March 1731 in Wybunbury and her baptism took place there on May 16th, 1731.1  Sarah's father was Hugh Brereton and her mother was Mary Withers.  Her paternal grandparents were Thomas Brereton and <Unknown>. She had two brothers and a sister, named Thomas, Hugh and Ann.  She was the youngest of the four children.
