Elizabeth was born in 1811 in Wybunbury and her baptism took place there on March 31st, 1811.1  Elizabeth's father was Constantine Samuel Brereton and her mother was Margery (Padday) Birchall.  Her paternal grandparents were Samuel Brereton and Jane Whittingham. She had a brother and a sister, named Samuel and Mary.  She was the oldest of the three children.
