2 Jan 1893, George Mather (26), a bleacher of 59 George Street, Astley Bridge, son of Samuel Mather a labourer married Ann Jane Bradshaw (24) of 206 St George Road, daughter of James Bradshaw a fruitier.
As well as Ada and Martha born in Sharples, there were two sons Joseph and Herbert with births and deaths registered in Burnley (for Joseph) and Tonge (for Herbert).
In 1911, George, Ann Jane and their two daughters were living in Bolton.
Ann and George were married in a religious ceremony on January 2nd, 1893 at St. George (Little Bolton) by Curate James O. Coleman and witnessed by R. Bradshaw & Elizabeth Bradshaw.3
