James Booth

James was born on July 2nd, 1763 in Breightmet and his baptism took place on July 8th, 1763 at St. Peter's (Bolton).¹

James' father was Thomas Booth and his mother was Catherine (Kat) Holt. He had four brothers and two sisters, named Thomas, Henry, William, Isaac, Catherine and Mary.  He was the second oldest of the seven children.  He died at the age of 71 in August 1834 in Harwood.  He was buried on September 2nd, 1834 in Ainsworth.²

‌James and Rachael were married in a religious ceremony on July 18th, 1784 at St. Peter's (Bolton).³   They had four sons and four daughters, named John, Lawrence, James, Rachel, Mary, Martha, Elizabeth and Catherine.  There are no more children.
