Benjamin Booth

Benjamin was born on November 28th, 1872 in Bolton.¹

Benjamin's father was Benjamin Booth and his mother was Margaret Brooks. His maternal grandparents were James Brooks and Ann Swan. He had three brothers and two sisters, named John, Frank, James, Sarah and Margaret. He was the second oldest of the six children. He died at the age of 78 on December 23rd, 1950 in Glossop. His burial was in December 1950 at the Heaton Cemetery.²³

Benjamin was sucessful as a Head Spinning Master (cotton works) and was able to have a servant girl Elizabeth Smethurst (17) doing housework. They lived at 286A Crescent Road, Bolton.
