He had a brother and a sister, named Richard and Hannah. He was adopted by James Barlow & Ann Roper (Mather). He had a half-brother named Thomas. George is no longer alive.

General Notes
- In 1871, George was not with family. He may be an adopted nephew or illegitimate child of Ann's. The birth registration implied illegitimate as MMN also BARLOW (but not MATHER as expected)
  
  In 1881, George H Barlow was 12 and "Son" of Ann Barlow at 30 Homer Street.
