In 1841, James (a carter) and Martha (both 35) were at Spring Row, Breightmet with John (9), Elizabeth (7), Ellin (2) Another James (a silk weaver) & Martha Mather nee Kay, from Entwistle had William Kay (48) with them in 1841.
In 1851, Martha (47) was still at Spring Row with her 5 children; Elizabeth (16), John (15), Ellen Ann (13), Ann (8), and Mary Austin Mather (6). She was a House Keeper and also had two lodgers.
In 1861, Martha Mather (58) was with John (28), Ellen A (23), Ann (18) and Mary (16)
In 1881, Martha (72 an d a Ship Keeper) was still at Hampson Terrace, Breightmet with her daughter Ann (38) her assistant.
