William Astley

William was born in 1781 in Bolton and his christening took place on December 26th, 1781 at St. Peter's (Bolton).¹

William's father was James Astley and his mother was Mary Bury. He had four brothers and a sister, named John, James, Nicholas, Samuel and Isobel.  He was the third youngest of the six children.
