Ronald was born on May 7th, 1914 in Bolton.¹

Birth Notes

Ronald's father was Frederick (Fred) Ashmore and his mother was Sarah Holland. His paternal grandparents were James Ashmore and Betsy Barrow; his maternal grandparents were Samuel Holland and Mary Ellen Brownlow. He had two brothers and a sister, named Gerald, Frank and Lily. He was the second youngest of the four children. He died at the age of 99 on August 30th, 2013.
