Mark Rahman

Mark's father was Gerschn (Grigoriy) Avrum(ovich) Rahman and his mother was Sheindl (Sofia) Moiseevna Lumelskaya. His paternal grandparents were Avrum Bir Rahman and Hannah Rahman; his maternal grandparents were Moisei Lumelsky and <Unknown>. He was the eighth of nine children. He had four brothers and four sisters, named Evsey, ?, Naum, Ilya, Sheva, Bella, Bluma (Liuba) and Runya (Raya). He died in year 1983.

Death Notes
- Many members of the Rahman family had died in that year:
  My grandmother's brother Moisei Rahman, then Mark, then Mark's sister Liuba, then my grandfather, Lev Stanislavsky.

General Notes
- One of the brothers of my great-grandfather, Evsei. His wife, Filya was the sister of Dinah - the wife of Mark's bother Ilya. The two sisters, according to family tales, were complete opposites: Sense and Sensibility.
  
  Mark was a machine-gunner at Shors and was awarded an order of the Red Banner and two orders of the Red Star. In 1945 he had met with Moisei Rahman in Berlin.
