Thomas was born in 1753.  Thomas' father was Thomas Usher and his mother is Jane Bigwood.  His paternal grandparents are James Usher and Mary Cockell. He had three brothers and two sisters, named Henry, John, Jonas/Jonah, Margaret and Mary.  He was the fourth oldest of the six children.  He died at the age of 82 in 1835.
