Eleazer ben Aaron

Eleazer ben's father was אהרון and his mother is Elisheba bint Amminadab. His paternal grandparents are עמרם and יוכבד; his maternal grandfather is עמינדב. He is the fourth of five children. He has four brothers named Cohanim, איתמר, Abihu ben and Nadab ben.

- And unto Aaron was born Nadab, and Abihu, Eleazar...These are they that were numbered by Moses and Eleazar the priest, who numbered the childre n of Israel inthe plains of Moab by Jordan near Jericho. NOW these are the divisions of the sons of Aaron. The sons of Aaron; Na dab, andAbihu, Eleazar, and Ithamar. But Nadab and Abihu died before their father, and had no children: ther efore Eleazar and Ithamar executed the priest?אשs office. el-e-a'-zar, e-le-a'-zar ('el-`azar; Eleazar, "God is helper"): (1) The 3rdson of Aaron by Elisheba (Exodus 6:23; Numbers 3:2). He married one of thedaughters of Putiel, who bore him Phinehas (Exodus 6:25). With his father and3 brothers he waw Phinehas A Levite of Ezra?אשs time, (Ezra 8:33) unless the meaning be that Eleaz ar was of the family of the great Phinehas.
