Georgia was born in 1895. Georgia's father was Elijha Petty Dye and her mother was Hattie Wolcott MsKusick. Her paternal grandparents were Henry Ellis Dye and Elizabeth "Lizzie" Taylor Johnson. She had six brothers and two sisters, named Arthur, Harold, John, Charles, Robert, Dale, Mabel and Gertrude. She was the second oldest of the nine children.
