George was born on September 1st, 1879. George's father was Dusoway Thomas (D.T.) Dye and his mother was Margaret Thorn. His paternal grandparents were Dusosway George Dye and Mary Ann McKinley. He had a brother and two sisters, named Thomas, Vinta and Addie. He had a half-brother and a half-sister, named George and Vinta. He died at the age of 73 in 1952.
