Jewetts of America - Allyn Jewett

A Record of Edward Jewett, of Bradford, West Riding of Yorkshire, England, and of his two emigrant sons, Deacon Maximilian and Joseph Jewett, Settlers of Rowley, Massachusetts, in 1639 also of Abraham and John Jewett, Early Settlers of Rowley, and of the Jewetts who have settled in the United States since the year 1800.
3392 ALLYN JEWETT (Zabdiah R.166x, Joseph7xx, Nathan2xx, Joseph1x9, Joseph22, Joseph 4, Edward1), was born in Granby, Conn., Feb. 22, 1789. He married, March __, 1813, Abigail Tucker, who was born in New Hartford, Conn., Nov. 11, 1795, daughter of Benjamin Tucker of New Hartford. Mr. Jewett was a mechanic and iron worker and settled in New Hartford, where they lived a number of years and then removed to Winsted, Conn., where he died Dec. 17, 1867. His wife died there Oct. 20, 1863.

Children:
5881 Louisa, born in New Hartford, Conn., April 5, 1814; married Sept. 20, 1842. Garrison Freeborn Baker, of Bakerville, Conn. He was born in Bakerville,Aug. 19, 1813, and died in Canton, Conn., July 12, 1881. She died in Kensington, Conn., Aug. 7, 1906. No issue.
5882 George Rogers, born in New Hartford, Conn., May 17, 1816; married Sarah E. Rockwell.*
5883 Benjamin Tucker, born in New Hartford, Conn., Feb. 18, 1819; married Julia Ann Moffet.*
5584  Albert, born in Winsted, Conn., Oct. 26, 1822; married Anne Maria Palmer.*
5885 Fanny, born in Winsted, Conn., June 9, 1827; married David A. Barclay and lived in South America, where they both died, leaving one son.
5886 Frederick, born in Winsted, Conn., Sept. 1, 1829; married Anna Magnessen and lived in Chicago, where he was a merchant and where he died, s. p.
5887 Julia Ann, born in Winsted, Conn., Oct. 24, 1831; married June 28, 1871, Chester W. Gilman of New Hartford, Conn., and died Dec. 8, 1899, s. p.
5888 Mary, born Dec. 10, 1833; married Oliver Butler and resides in Cooperstown, N. Y. One son and one daughter.
