Jewetts of America - Peter Jenner Jewett

A Record of Edward Jewett, of Bradford, West Riding of Yorkshire, England, and of his two emigrant sons, Deacon Maximilian and Joseph Jewett, Settlers of Rowley, Massachusetts, in 1639 also of Abraham and John Jewett, Early Settlers of Rowley, and of the Jewetts who have settled in the United States since the year 1800.
3390 PETER JENNER JEWETT (Joseph16x7, Joseph7x0, Nathan2xx, Joseph109, Joseph22, Joseph4, Edward1), was born in Granby, Conn., Jan. 18, 1802. He married July 22, 1824, Louisa Adelaide Smith of Granby, who was born Oct. 6, 1804. Mr. Jewett studied medicine, but settled in Granby and became a manufacturer of musical instruments, organs, melodeons, etc. He held different town offices and was a Justice of the Peace at the time of his death, Oct. 16, 1847. His widow died Dec. 30, 1888.

5872 Stanley Augustus, born May 27, 1825; married Sept. 11, 1849, Hepzibah L. Tucker of Buffalo, N. Y. He died March 8, 1898. His wife died Jan. 1, 1875. One child, Helen, born Sept. 1, 1858, died Oct. 12, 1858.
5873 John Alexander, born Aug. 22, 1827; married May 10, 1852, Julietta Elizabeth Thompkins of Lyme, Conn., who died Sept. 8, 1892. He died May 8, 1888.
5874 Helen Irene, born April 16, 1829; married Pliny P. Pratt.*
5875 Jane Anna, born Oct.16, 1830; married Ira A. Mather.*
5876 Mary Ann Caroline, born Sept. 15, 1832; married Czar D. Goodman.*
5877 Joseph Franklin, born Feb. 26, 1835; married Cecilia Eliza Child.*
5878 George Elijah, born Oct. 26, 1838; married Grace E. Kelley.*
5879 Louisa Adelaide, born June 10, 1842; married Theodore Mills Maltbie.*
5880 Frederick Jenner,born April 8, 1845; married Mary E. Cooley.*
