Zebulon Stevens 
Zebulon was born on February 25th, 1717 in Plainfield, Windham County, Connecticut.1 Zebulon's father was Thomas Stevens Sr and his mother was Mary Hall. His paternal grandparents were Henry Stephens Sr and Elizabeth Gallup; his maternal grandparents were Stephen Hall and Ruth Davis. He had six brothers named Thomas, Phineas, Uriah, Andrew, Benjamin and Samuel. He had a half-sibling of unknown gender named Jesse. He died at the age of 97 on July 4th, 1814.1 General Notes

Note: He was of Canaan June 21, 1743. Member of the Congregational Church.
Thomas, the eldest son, who settled in Plainfield, Conn., used the Stevens mode and so did all of the sons, there and at Canaan, Conn., and all of the family, ex cept the descendants of Uriah of Canisteo, have con tinued to use that form, so far as reported. At Canis teo all use the Stephens form.
