Phoebe was born on March 10th, 1871 in Westville, Franklin County, New York.1   Phoebe's father was Jeremiah (Jerry) Robinson and her mother was Sophronie Fleury. She had a brother and six sisters, named Jerry, Pamelia, Tennys, Lena, Delphi, Margaret and Carrie.  She was the third oldest of the eight children.
