Marie was born on June 3rd, 1698 in Beaupre, QC.1 Marie's father was Francois Lacroix and her mother was Anne Gaignier (Gagne). Her paternal grandparents are Francois Lacroix and Jeanne Huot; her maternal grandparents were Louis Gasnier (Gagne) and Marie Michel. She had two brothers and three sisters, named Louis, Pierre, Agathe, Isabelle and Marie. She was the youngest of the six children.-
