Mary was born about 1658 in Ipswich, Essex County, Massachusetts.1   Mary's father was George Giddings and her mother was Jane Lawrence.  Her paternal grandparents were John Giddings and <Unknown>. She had five brothers and two sisters, named Thomas, John, James, Joseph, Samuel, Abigail and Rebecca.  She died in 1711.1
