Note- William J. Barrow, 55, passed away Wednesday evening, February 21, at the Potsdam Hospital after an illness of about ten days of acute appendicitis. Mr. Barrow was born in Malone, a son of Joseph and Julia Bodah Barrow, and spent his boyhood there. After attending the public schools he learned the plumbing trade and for a long period of time he was in employ of the late C. H. Roby of Malone. Later he moved to Massena and established a plumbing business in that village. About three years age he came to Potsdam and conducted a plumbing business occupying the basement beneath the Reliable Dry Cleaners on Market Street
He is survived by two sons, Alfred of Potsdam and Dick of Loon Lake; four sisters, Mrs. Joseph Turcotte, Malone; Mrs. Homer Marvin, New London, Conn.; Mrs. Leonard Crocker, New London, Conn.; Mrs. L. M. Baer, Short Beach, Conn., and two brothers, Joseph Barrow, New Haven, CN, and George Barrow of Canton. One niece, Miss Blanche Turcotte of Malone and four nephews, Wilfred Turcotte of Ogdensburg; George Turcotte of Troy; Howard and James Barrow of Canton also survive.
The body was taken to Malone on Thursday afternoon to the home of Mr. Barrow's sister, Mrs. Joseph Turcotte, 50 South Pearl street The funeral services were in Notre Dame Church and interment was in Notre Dame cemetery.
