Victoria was born about 1882 in Izmir, Turkey. Victoria's father was Yoshua TARANTO and her mother was Garcia DE CHAVES. Her paternal grandparents were Behor Haim Moshe TARANTO and Djoya CRESPIN; her maternal grandparents were Yaacov DE CHAVES (CLAVES) and Unnamed. She had four brothers and four sisters, named Levy, Leon, Yako, Haim, Esther, Judith, Ricca and Fortunee. She was the second oldest of the nine children.-
