Joya was born about 1830 in Smyrna, Greece. Joya's father was Rabbi Yeoshua Moshe (Moise) Mordehay CRESPIN and her mother was Mazaltov. Her paternal grandparents were Rabbi Itzhak CRESPIN and Unnamed. She had four brothers named Yehuda, Haim, Yaacov and Nissim. She was the youngest of the five children. She died on August 30th, 1890 in Smyrna, Greece.-
