Catharina   was born on January 24th, 1738 in Walem.  Catharina  's father is Van der Veken , Petrus and her mother is BROERS , Anna  .  Her maternal grandfather was BROERS , Gaspar   and her maternal grandmother is Claes , Maria. She had six brothers and four sisters, named Petrus, Andreas, Joannes , Petrus , Petrus , Jacobus  , Maria , Elisabeth , Elisabeth  and Petronella  .  She is the seventh oldest of the eleven children.
