Jacobus  was born in 1520 in Rumst.1  Jacobus 's father was Joannes  BROERS  and his mother was Anna  Nulaet .  His paternal grandparents were Engelbertus BROERS  and <Unknown>; his maternal grandparents were Machiel, and <Unknown>. He had three brothers and a sister, named Kristiaen , Joannes , Geeraert  and "Joanna" .  He was the third oldest of the five children.  He died in Antwerp.1
