Russell E. was born in 1910.  Russell E.'s father was William White and his mother was Provy Azbill.  His paternal grandparents were William White and Mary Hunt; his maternal grandparents were Linsfield Asbell and Ona Frances Gentry.  He was the fourth of eight children.  He had four brothers and three sisters, named Lethal R., Glendon, Homer, Delbert James, Cora, Ada K. and Frances.  He died at the age of 76 in 1986.
