Cordelia was born in 1872.  Cordelia's father was Oliver Horace Perry and her mother was Emily Ann Azbill.  Her maternal grandparents were James Azbill and Mahala Jane Bicknell.  She was the second of five children.  She had a brother and three sisters, named Alexander, Martha Luletta, Dora and Mahala Elizabeth.
