Stella was born in April 1899.  Stella's father was John Zacariah Jackson and her mother was Martha Martin.  Her paternal grandparents were William Allen Jackson and Nancy A.; her maternal grandparents were Caleb S. Martin and Sarah Hutchins.  She was the youngest of five children.  She had two brothers and two sisters, named Ernest, William C., Myrtle and Ethel.  She died at the age of 21 in 1920.
