Myrtle was born in February 1890.  Myrtle's father was John Zacariah Jackson and her mother was Martha Martin.  Her paternal grandparents were William Allen Jackson and Nancy A.; her maternal grandparents were Caleb S. Martin and Sarah Hutchins.  She was the oldest of five children.  She had two brothers and two sisters, named Ernest, William C., Ethel and Stella.
