Rosa Bell was born in 1878.  Rosa Bell's father was Isaac Franklin Sr. Jackson and her mother was Maranda Jane Hall.  Her paternal grandparents were William Jackson and Sarah Sally McSwain; her maternal grandparents were James Hall and Mary Polly Bellis.  She was the youngest of seven children.  She had three brothers and three sisters, named Cassuis, Isaac Franklin, James I., Sarah Jane, Louisiana and Marinda E..
