John T. was born in 1895.  John T.'s father was Isaac Franklin Jr. Jackson and his mother was Rebecca Barnes.  His paternal grandparents were Isaac Franklin Sr. Jackson and Maranda Jane Hall.  He was the third of six children.  He had three brothers and two sisters, named Elmer Dan, Eddie L., Jesse Foster, Rebecca Elizabeth and Mary Jane.
