Elmer Dan was born on March 23rd, 1886.  Elmer Dan's father was Isaac Franklin Jr. Jackson and his mother was Rebecca Barnes.  His paternal grandparents were Isaac Franklin Sr. Jackson and Maranda Jane Hall.  He was the oldest of six children.  He had three brothers and two sisters, named John T., Eddie L., Jesse Foster, Rebecca Elizabeth and Mary Jane.  He died at the age of 81 on August 10th, 1967.
